About this role

As a Bilingual Spanish STEM Expert, you will leverage your expertise in biology, physics, or chemistry to develop and refine high-quality reasoning questions that evaluate AI models. This role focuses on ensuring scientific accuracy and instructional quality in both Spanish and English, making it essential for candidates to possess a deep understanding of STEM concepts and bilingual proficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Optimize STEM-Based Prompts (Bilingual): Create detailed prompts in Spanish and/or English with multiple constraints and scientifically accurate instructions.
  • Define and Document Evaluation Standards: Establish high-level expectations for correct responses in STEM contexts, developing comprehensive rubrics that account for scientific rigor and linguistic clarity, using regionally appropriate terminology.
  • Conduct Model Testing and Grading (Bilingual): Run prompts through AI models and assess preliminary outputs against expectations for scientific accuracy, reasoning quality, and clarity, comparing Spanish and English responses as needed.
  • Support Benchmarking and Quality Assurance: Collaborate in QA review processes to ensure prompt tasks and rubrics meet scientific standards and maintain consistency across Spanish-language benchmarks.
Qualifications
  • Native-level fluency in Spanish (written), specifically from the United States (Spanish-speaking), Spain, Chile, or Mexico.
  • Strong reading and writing proficiency in English.
  • BS or BA in Biology, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • Familiarity with undergraduate-level biology, physics, or chemistry topics.
  • Strong writing and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in teaching, research, or an applied STEM discipline field.
  • Experience working with Spanish-language STEM curricula or academic standards in the United States, Spain, Chile, or Mexico.
Work Terms
  • Expected commitment: Minimum 20 hours per week.
  • Work environment: Structured project setting with clear goals and tools.
Compensation
  • Hourly rate: $18 - $53.
