Role Overview
Apply hands-on Toast POS and restaurant operations experience to help train next-generation AI systems with accurate, real-world input. This remote contract role focuses on how restaurant teams use point-of-sale technology for orders, payments, reporting, and day-to-day service. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Toast POS workflows and provide feedback on order entry, payment processing, and reporting features.
- Create scenario-based documentation and step-by-step guides based on real restaurant operations using Toast POS.
- Review system functionality, identify improvement opportunities, and troubleshoot common user pain points.
- Explain best practices for implementing, configuring, and optimizing Toast POS across restaurant settings.
- Annotate and evaluate transaction data, menus, and order flows to improve AI understanding of restaurant POS operations.
- Communicate Toast POS concepts clearly in writing and verbally to support knowledge transfer.
- Participate in collaborative sessions to refine prompts, tasks, and datasets related to Toast POS and restaurant order management.
Qualifications
- Current hospitality employment using Toast POS in daily operations.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, Toast POS, point-of-sale systems, and order and payment management.
- Deep understanding of how POS systems support operational workflows, orders, and payments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with clear and accurate explanations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to document processes and create user-friendly guidance.
- Familiarity with quick-service, casual, and fine-dining restaurant concepts, including their differing POS needs.
- Experience training, mentoring, or supporting others with new restaurant technology is a plus.
Work Terms
- Remote independent-contractor engagement.
Compensation
- $28 to $92 per hour.
