About this role
Role Overview
Help support wellness research by contributing a de-identified export of your Apple Health data, including HealthKit activity, heart, sleep, and other applicable data alongside linked clinical records.
Key Responsibilities
- Fully populate every applicable category in your Apple Health profile. Profiles containing only step data are not eligible.
- Link health records from at least one qualifying institution through Apple Health Records. The linked record must include immunizations, lab results, medications, vitals, and clinical notes.
- Provide consent to share four demographic attributes: age, gender, approximate region, and activity level.
- Submit a genuine export from your own Health app, with continuous history rather than data from a single day.
Qualifications
- You must have visited at least one qualifying institution and have that institution''s health records actively connected to Apple HealthKit.
- Eligible institutions include Emory Healthcare; Scripps Health; Northwestern Medicine; Cedars-Sinai Health System; Penn Medicine; NYU Langone Health; Geisinger Health System; Dartmouth Health; Johns Hopkins Medicine; UCSF Health; Cleveland Clinic; Jefferson Health; VCU Health; University of Chicago Medicine; Doctors Center Hospital Orlando Health; Mass General Brigham; Norton Healthcare; Mount Sinai Health System; Henry Ford Health System; Yale New Haven Health; Intermountain Healthcare; Tampa General Hospital; The University of Kansas Health System; University of Utah Health; Michigan Medicine; UC Irvine Health; Nebraska Medicine; Vanderbilt University Medical Center; UC San Diego Health; Musculoskeletal Institute Of LA; UVA Health System; University of Iowa Health Care; Memorial Hermann Health System; Mount Sinai Medical Center; Sentara Healthcare; Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin; Stanford Medicine Obstetrics & Reproductive Endocrinology; Inova Health System; Ochsner Health; UC Davis Health; Scripps Ranch Medical Clinic; The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center; Buffalo Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine PLLC; The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates; Houston Methodist; Stanford Health Care; Baylor Scott & White Health; UnityPoint Health; Sutter Health; Aurora Health Care; RWJBarnabas Health; Trinity Health IHA Medical Group; Valley Health System; CHI St. Joseph Health; M Health Fairview; Hattiesburg Clinic; The Christ Hospital Health Network; Bon Secours Health System; Kaiser Permanente; and Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare.
- Your export must include a linked EHR containing all four required clinical categories and the Clinical Notes section. Clinical notes are mandatory; submissions without them will be returned and will not be compensated.
- All four demographic consents are required. Without consent, a submission cannot be accepted.
- Synthetic, demonstration, or non-personal exports are not eligible.
Work Terms
- This is a remote, one-time contribution for U.S. participants.
- Submit one export per participant. You may optionally provide a later re-export to refresh your data.
Compensation
Receive $60 for an accepted one-time submission.
Eligibility
- Only individuals whose connected Apple HealthKit records come from an institution on the qualifying list may participate.
- Your identity and raw health information are not included in the research dataset. Exports are de-identified before analysis, with identifiers removed, dates and locations generalized, and notes scrubbed. A random ID is used, while the link to your identity is held separately and does not travel with the data.
- You may withdraw consent at any time to have your data removed.
What to prepare before applying
- Must be located in the United States.
- Must have health records from a qualifying institution actively connected to Apple HealthKit through Apple's Health Records network.
- Must provide a genuine export from the candidate's own Apple Health app; synthetic or demo exports are ineligible.
