Computational Physics Research Quality Specialist

Role Overview:

This position offers a unique opportunity for a highly analytical and computationally proficient individual with a strong research background to contribute to the development of challenging and insightful problems in the field of computational physics. You will play a key role in crafting original research-grade problems and devising elegant computational solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Quantitative Problem Design and Solutioning:

• Develop and conceptualize original, research-grade or graduate-level scientific problems using Python for scientific coding and programming.
• Define problem categories, secondary tags, and assign appropriate difficulty levels rigorously.
• Formulate and solve problems using sound principles, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and logical coherence in the solution path.

Quality Assurance & Collaboration:

• Participate in two-tier reviews, meticulously evaluating the accuracy of problems and solutions.
• Collaborate effectively with reviewers and team leads, proactively incorporating feedback and refining content to enhance overall quality.

Qualifications:

• PhD or PhD Candidates in Computational Physics.
• At least 1 published peer-reviewed paper.
• Advanced proficiency in Python programming for scientific coding is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration.

Work Terms:

• Commitment of 40 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap in PST.
• Engagement type is contractor assignment/freelancer (no medical/paid leave).
• Contract duration is 8 weeks, with an expected start date next week.
• Location eligibility includes Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Turkey, and Vietnam.
