About this role

Role Overview

Evaluate AI-generated legal reasoning and help improve its accuracy and usefulness across civil justice matters. You will review realistic legal scenarios, assess legal analysis and strategy, identify gaps or errors in reasoning, and produce structured written feedback to guide AI improvements. This role focuses on matters such as housing, family law, consumer protection, debt collection, and bankruptcy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review AI-generated legal analyses for legal accuracy and practical usefulness.
  • Evaluate scenarios across housing, family law, consumer protection, debt collection, and bankruptcy.
  • Assess issue spotting, legal reasoning, procedural correctness, and litigation strategy.
  • Identify legal errors or omissions and recommend specific improvements.
  • Deliver structured written evaluations that clearly explain findings and suggested changes.
Qualifications

Required

  • Juris Doctor degree.
  • Active U.S. bar admission.
  • Minimum 5 years practicing in public interest or civil litigation.
  • Strong experience in civil legal advocacy, with excellent legal writing and analytical skills.

Preferred

  • Experience at nonprofit legal organizations or impact litigation firms.
  • Expertise in employment law, elder law, or disability rights.
  • Background in policy advocacy or systemic reform work.
  • Experience supervising attorneys or legal fellows.
  • Interest or experience with legal technology or legal AI.
Work Terms
  • Location: Remote, United States.
  • Commitment: Approximately 15 hours per week.
  • Project duration: Estimated 2 to 3 weeks.
  • Engagement type: Hourly.
Compensation
  • Rate: USD 150 per hour.
Eligibility
  • Must hold an active U.S. bar admission and be authorized to practice law in the United States.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in public interest or civil litigation as stated above.
