This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing networking systems that leverage data to drive intelligent infrastructure. As a Level 3 / Tier 3 network support engineer with a passion for scripting and programming, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability of existing infrastructure while automating operations to improve efficiency. Your expertise will directly impact how intelligent systems interpret and manage real-world networks.
Key Responsibilities- Review real-world data from deployed networks, including logs, configurations, telemetry, and event streams.
- Label, classify, and analyze network behaviors, issues, and anomalies.
- Write scripts and tools to process, clean, and transform network data.
- Help define schemas and structure for large-scale data pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with the client team to enhance data quality and usability for machine learning systems.
- Currently work as a Level 3 / Tier 3 / Principal Support Engineer, ensuring the stability of enterprise infrastructure, including on-call rotation, root cause analyses, and troubleshooting outages, Must Have.
- Hands-on experience with end-customer enterprise networks, including switches, access points, and firewalls in various sectors such as retail, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and hospitality, Must Have.
- Scripting experience in support of operations using languages such as Python, Bash, Ansible, or PowerShell for tasks like log redaction, compliance checks, monitoring automation, and configuration audits, Must Have.
- Comfortable interpreting logs, events, and time-series metrics.
- Experience in automating workflows or working with data pipelines is a plus.
- Curiosity about how raw infrastructure data transforms into machine learning input.
- Excitement to contribute to the development of autonomous networking systems.
- Location: Remote, with a preference for in-person collaboration in San Francisco, CA.
