About this role
Role Overview
Apply your language, translation, and audio judgment to help evaluate and improve advanced AI systems. Your expertise will inform the standards used to assess whether AI responses, voices, music, and sound are accurate, natural, culturally appropriate, and usable.
This is an ongoing talent pool for language and audio specialists, not a specific project opening. Matching opportunities may begin on short notice and are offered as relevant projects become available.
Key Responsibilities
- Create prompts and reference answers in your language, including appropriate idiom, register, and cultural context.
- Evaluate AI-generated content for meaning, tone, grammar, idiomatic usage, and suitability for the intended speaker and setting.
- Assess voice, music, and sound output for clarity, naturalness, and usability, and document specific issues when quality falls short.
- Provide clear written reasoning behind your evaluations.
Qualifications
- Native or professional fluency in at least one language, or professional experience in translation, voice, music, or audio production.
- Strong judgment and subject-matter expertise applicable to evaluating advanced AI output.
- Clear written communication skills.
- Comfort working with ambiguous tasks and raising unclear instructions.
Specialties Included
- Languages: Spanish, Arabic, English, Hindi, French, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Assamese, Punjabi, Gujarati, Thai, Dutch, and Finnish.
- Translation and interpretation.
- Voice acting.
- Music, audio engineering, and sound design.
Work Terms
- Remote, hourly independent contractor opportunities.
- Each matched project specifies its own rate, hours, and client.
- Joining this pool does not result in an acceptance or rejection decision. Candidates are contacted only when a project aligns with their language or specialty.
- Timing for a match may range from about one week to several months, depending on available client work.
Compensation
Comparable projects have paid $35 to $50 per hour, with final rates determined by project scope, language, and required depth of expertise.
Eligibility
Complete registration once to remain eligible for matching across all networks for which you qualify. Completing the domain-expert interview and joining each applicable network can improve the likelihood of being matched.
Application Process
- Submit your resume and confirm your work location.
- Complete a short AI interview, approximately 20 minutes in total.
- Your background will be verified before you are added to the language and audio talent pool.
- If a suitable project opens, you may receive an invitation to review that specific opportunity and its terms.
