Role Overview
An expert Chemical Biologist is needed to join a dynamic team focused on leveraging chemistry and biology to enhance AI training methodologies. This role involves designing, developing, and applying chemical tools to probe and manipulate biological systems at the molecular level, specifically for advanced AI applications in biomedical research and therapeutic discovery.
Key Responsibilities- Design and synthesize small molecules, chemical probes, and compounds for investigating and manipulating key biological systems.
- Apply state-of-the-art chemical techniques to selectively label and modify proteins, nucleic acids, and other biomolecules within cells.
- Develop and evaluate new methodologies to study post-translational and chemical modifications in biological pathways relevant for AI bioscience datasets.
- Collaborate on creating and assessing rubrics for data generation, annotation, and evaluation to enhance AI training quality.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and communicate findings through clear, compelling written and verbal reports to multidisciplinary teams.
- Identify and recommend innovative approaches for integrating chemical biology insights into AI-driven research initiatives.
- Contribute domain expertise to the continuous improvement of AI data curation and training methodology.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Biology, Chemistry, Biology, or a closely related field.
- Expertise in the design and synthesis of natural and synthetic compounds.
- Hands-on experience with chemical and biochemical techniques for studying biological macromolecules and cellular processes.
- Comprehensive understanding of biological systems and molecular interactions relevant to therapeutic intervention or biomedical research.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to clearly document experimental protocols and results.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and translate scientific findings into actionable insights for AI training.
- Experience in rubric design or evaluation for data annotation and scientific data quality improvement.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant discipline.
- Prior experience contributing to AI, machine learning, or computational biology projects.
Contract position, fully remote.
CompensationHourly rate of $40 - $60.
