Backend Security Engineer

Shape next-generation AI systems by creating realistic backend engineering challenges that test secure, scalable software development. You will design coding tasks focused on feature implementation and bug fixes, then build deterministic verifiers that accept valid solutions and reject invalid ones. No prior AI experience is required.

• Create challenging, real-world backend coding tasks involving feature development and bug resolution.
• Implement deterministic verification systems for submitted solutions.
• Apply expertise in debugging, codebase refactoring, performance optimization, automated testing, and security-focused engineering.
• Contribute practical input that helps AI systems learn, reason, and perform more effectively.

• Strong backend development experience with Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, C++, or comparable technologies.
• Experience building scalable services and APIs.
• Strong skills in algorithms, data structures, and foundational computer science concepts.
• Experience identifying and resolving software defects and system bottlenecks.
• Experience refactoring codebases and delivering complex features in large-scale applications.
• Sound code-review judgment, analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and technical communication skills.
• Cybersecurity or SecOps experience is strongly valued, including secure coding, application security, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, OWASP/CWE knowledge, security audits, or security-focused code reviews.

• Remote independent contractor engagement.
• Approximately 15 hours per week.
• Flexible schedule: choose your own working hours and days, including weekends if preferred.
• Work is paid per task that meets project specifications. Completion time varies by experience and workflow.
• Minimum submission requirements apply, including a required minimum number of tasks each week.

• $30 to $100 per hour.
