As an Arabic Language Expert, you will leverage your linguistic skills to contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI systems. Your expertise will play a crucial role in shaping how these models learn and perform, ensuring they are equipped with high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is necessary; your domain knowledge is the key asset.
Key Responsibilities- Record clear, high-quality audio clips in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) to support the creation of robust AI speech models.
- Assess and annotate phonetic, pronunciation, and intonation data with linguistic precision.
- Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on speech recognition outputs, identifying patterns and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with the customer’s team to enhance data collection processes and standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of recording activities and organize data sets effectively.
- Engage in discussions to improve AI workflows by sharing practical insights from your experience.
- Adhere to confidentiality and data quality protocols consistently.
- Native-level proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of phonetics, phonology, and pronunciation nuances in Arabic.
- Experience in audio recording, voice acting, podcasting, audio engineering, or similar fields is advantageous but not required.
- Proficient in using recording devices and audio software to produce clear speech samples.
- High attention to detail in listening, annotating, and evaluating speech data.
- Able to collaborate effectively in a remote work environment.
- Committed to quality and continuous improvement in AI training workflows.
- Previous experience with AI or speech data collection projects.
- Familiarity with linguistic annotation tools and standards.
- Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies, language technologies, or AI research.
This is a contract position with remote work flexibility.
CompensationHourly pay ranges from $10 to $41, depending on experience and qualifications.
EligibilityThis role is open to both native and non-native Arabic speakers (MSA) who are passionate about language, audio, and technology. A background in audio recording or related fields is beneficial, but a high-quality recording device and a commitment to linguistic accuracy are essential.
